Milk Allergy Blog anyone?

Ok, I have spent an inordinate amount of time over the past week looking for a blog about being Dairy-free or having milk allergies. I can find nothing worth going back to. Maybe I'm too picky. Maybe it's because I don't really care if the person is vegan and wants me to plant a tree for every piece of meat I've ever placed in my mouth, maybe it's because I really want a blog written by a mom about her kid(s) who have Milk Allergies, maybe it's because I don't want a blog about just recipes, yeah, maybe I'm too picky. I just want a blog I can relate to.

I broke down and bought cheese for Adam the other day. He was getting kind of sad about the no cheese thing. Not like he is suffering all that much. We had pizza the other day and I made two different types - one regular for him and one Amy's Organic without cheese for Lily and I. I also fully believe that he eats dairy while he's at work so I don't worry about him suffering overmuch. (I'm sure someone will comment about how deprived he is!!)

So... the person who finds me the perfect dairy allergy blog gets... (drumroll please).... white, squeaky, perfectly salted cheese curds from Cady Cheese. (I know how to use bribes, I'm a mom.)

Edited to add: I've turned off the comments on this post. The spammers are driving me nuts.

I saw your post on the Baby Center board and I thought I'd pop over here and check out your blog. Your little girl is adorable! I'm sorry about the dairy allergy and I have some bad news for you. There is no acceptable substitute for cheese. They are all really bad (and I know, cause I LOVE cheese). One thing I wanted to suggest is the book Dairy Free Made Easy by Alisa Marie Fleming. There are some good ideas for substituting other things in there. There are also some off the wall ideas, but I have found some really helpful stuff.

Oh, and hi! I'm a knitter too!

Hi, I did a search for "milk allergy blog" and came across this post. My youngest son (6 months) recently had an anaphylactic reaction to his first bottle of formula. We are just now starting out learning and researching this whole no-milk diet and lifestyle. I was wondering if you have found any sites, books, cookbooks since you had written this post? I'd love to be given some direction if you have some to give. :)

I haven't had a chance to get into your archives to see if you've posted more about milk allergies, but I hope to soon.

Thanks for any help!
